I put a couple of really good songs on here. These will change occasionally. The first is an EXCELLENT song to get everyone in the Christmas spirit. The other two are Evanescence songs from The Open Door.

If you like Bring Me To Life

(to me they're similar)

It's been a turbulent time for Evanescence. Last month, two band members left and Amy Lee had to find two new ones quickly, a day before she was getting married. A week with not a lot of shows and a few days of rest were welcome.

"it's been quiet a busy week though. At the beginning of the week we did two shows in Paris, at the Zenith. That's a beautiful hall, where we recorded our dvd a couple of years ago. It was nice to be back there. And when you're in Paris, you have to visit the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre too, ofcourse", Amy Lee tells.

Life on a tourbus isn't exactly glamurous, according to Amy Lee. "It's pretty standard, you sleep in a very small space, almost a sort of coffin. And when we're driving somewhere, we play Scrabble." The singer says she's rather traveling by bus, than by plane though: "Yeah, cause you're waiting for hours on an airport, and you have to wrestle yourself through the security. Actually, I quiet like life on a tourbus."

That's a good thing, because she will be stuck in the bus for another four or five weeks, Amy Lee tells. "We're doing a couple of festivals and we're going to shoot our new video in Europe too. We're going to do that in Budapest, where I've never been before, so I'm very excited."

Since the dramatic departure of band members John and Rocky, two new guys arived: Will and Troy. "A day before I was getting married, I suddenly had to hire two new band members", Amy Lee says. "It was like: How are you doing? Oh, I'm getting married tomorrow, it's no big deal. By the way, wanna join the band?" But they were really happy, joining the band and they have been great, the last weeks."

On Sunday, the band was in Amsterdam, a day off, before their show at Pinkpop. "We did some sight seeing and went for a tour around the canals, ofcourse." The bus to Pinkpop got delayed quiet a bit. According Amy, she usually stays cool when something goes wrong. "We're touring since October and after a while, you just can't get angry anymore. When someone has bad news about a show, you think: oh, well... I would go crazy if I had to worry about everything that went wrong."

If something goes wrong during a show, Amy Lee can be embarassed. "We did play at a festival together with Billy Corgan, when he was still in Zwan. As a joke, we wanted to play a Smashing Pumpkins song, Zero. We totally screwed up that song, I got the lyrics completely wrong. I hope Billy wasn't watching."
